intuition training

Ido you use your intuition, your gut feeling?

Intuition is the inner sense that guides us and gives us a feeling of what is right or wrong, even if it cannot always be logically explained. It functions as a useful source of insight and guidance in our daily lives, helping us recognize patterns, anticipate problems, and understand other people and situations better.

Intuition is thus an invaluable resource that enhances our ability to handle uncertain situations with confidence and security and is often a reliable guide in our decision-making processes.

Listening to your intuition is important, especially when we face decisions or interact with others, as we don't always have all the information or the time to think thoroughly about a situation. This is where our intuition steps in and allows us to make quick decisions based on our instinct or gut feeling.

Can Intuition Be Explained Rationally?

In a more scientific way, part of the understanding of intuition can be seen as a complex cognitive thought process, where our brain draws on past experiences and patterns to make quick decisions. It is also connected to quick signals from our senses and emotions, which our consciousness cannot always explain rationally.

Intuition can also be partially explained by brainwave frequencies - read more about it here.

How Does Intuition Help?

Intuition functions as a guide, helping us, among other things, understand others and read the signals they send. Without this guidance, we risk missing important signs of others' emotions or intentions, which can create distance and confusion in our relationships. Therefore, it is important to listen to our intuition and use it as a resource to navigate our interactions with others.

Using your intuition optimally requires practice. I can help you with that:

Intuition training is indeed a personal development process. Just as important as it is to be able to use intuition, it is equally important to be able to combine it with logical thinking and data, especially in professional decision-making situations.

Your intuition can be a valuable source of insight, but it should not stand alone; untrained intuition is often colored by one's personal experiences and background, so it is important to understand how these factors influence intuitive insights.

Intuition training can improve decision-making, creativity, and self-awareness, making it useful both in private life and at work.

why is it important to learn to use your intution?

Intuition plays a crucial role in decision-making and creative problem-solving, as it can provide access to deeply ingrained knowledge that cannot necessarily be expressed or verbalized in a conventional way.

When you start to follow your intuition more, it can cause both physical reactions and anxious thoughts.

Why?

Because intuition and anxiety can feel similar, making it difficult to distinguish between the two without help:

  • Both can create uncertainty: When faced with a decision or situation where you need to rely on your intuition, uncertainty or doubt can arise. Anxiety often occurs in situations that are uncertain or unfamiliar, which can confuse your sense of intuition.

  • Both can cause physical reactions: Both intuition and anxiety can trigger physical reactions such as a faster heart rate, sweating, stomach aches, and tense muscles. These physical signs can be similar in both cases.

I help you distinguish between them and provide tools to manage if anxiety is overwhelming.

WHY SEEKING A PROFESSIONAL?

Seeking a professional when you want to develop your intuition and use it in a work context can be a wise decision for several reasons:

  • Feedback and Evaluation: I can offer valuable feedback on your progress. I can help identify areas where your intuition is strengthened and areas that require more attention and work. This feedback can be crucial for refining your intuitive skills.

  • Confidentiality and Support: I provide a safe and confidential space where you can explore your intuition without fear of judgment. This is particularly important as developing intuition often involves challenging yourself and exploring emotional and personal aspects of yourself.

INTUITION IS LIKE A MUSCLE

Just like other muscles you want to train, intuition can be trained as well. One of the ways to train it is through meditation and mindfulness:

Mindfulness helps improve your attention and connection to your own thoughts and feelings. It will make you more aware of your intuition. I can assist you with this.

I have been educated and trained by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli, the American doctors who pioneered mindfulness. I am certified in "MBSR in Mind-Body Medicine" by Jon Kabat-Zinn  and I receive training from Saki Santorelli on a weekly basis. Saki has been one of my teachers since 2014.

INTUITION IN THE WORKPLACE

When it comes to using intuition in a work context, I, as a professional, can also assist in integrating your enhanced intuition into your decision-making, problem-solving, and creativity in your profession.

This can be especially useful for leaders, consultants, therapists, and anyone who wants to leverage their intuition as an asset in their work.

It is also relevant if you want to make better use of your creativity in your work. Creativity can also mean being able to see new and improved solutions in areas like IT, production, communication, and sales.

Do you work with people?

If you work with people, perhaps as a leader, therapist, social worker, or in another role, you likely receive a lot of input during your workday that may not have time to settle in the right compartments because you have to quickly move on to the next task.

Your intuition might tell you that there's something here you need to remember, inquire about, or address later, but that feeling may fade, and you might not get a chance to act on it.

Your subconscious continues to work on it without your awareness, and if you have too many of these additional tasks running without properly storing them, it can create clutter within you. Compassion fatigue and burnout creep in, and we realize it far too late.

I can help you with this.
